He Has Reason

It's said that "everything happens for a reason".

Good things can happen for reasons.  Also, bad things can happen for reasons.  For example, the past few months I was faced with a decision that could change my life forever.  One person seemed to definintly influence my choice, and I choose the way where I would be closest to who I thought would be the "perfect person" for me.  Yes, I'm not perfect either, but look if this person didn't influence my opinion I would be in the other direction.  In the other direction, people don't need help.  Not the help I would give at least which is my gift of speech.  They have enough religion there, but instead I get to express myself in a new inviroment.  I think God gave me those feelings to help guide me to the path he wanted because he knew I would choose that.

Another example would be, when I started something that meant a lot to me.  For the best understanding without me giving it away think of it as a band.  I started it with people I didn't really know at first; we decided to wing it.  We fell apart because of the business, but I got closer to two other people in the process.  Maybe God just wanted us to start out to get to know other people, but he wanted us to use our time for other purposes.

God works in magical ways.  Have you noticed that?  Think about things that have gone just plain wrong in your life.  How do you think God wanted it to effect you?

Examples are all over the bible.

Noah he was neglected by all of his peers yet he was saved from the destruction of the world.  Adam and Eve ate the apple causing sin because of that Jesus had to come to save us from the gap between us and God after that.  We are now aloud to be forgiven.  While walking on water, Peter was asked to trust Jesus.  He doubted and fell in, but later he became the rock of the church and was able to teach us strongly.

Notive how usually when God works it seems to go from a negative impact to an amazing positive impact.

Take time to look at your life, and decide how God changed your life so you could live it better.

Laziness

(update every 40 eProps)

Sorry for the late update.  Today's lesson is on Laziness.  I especially lack here, if you haven't noticed the lack in updates.

Proverbs 13:4
The sluggard gains craves and gets nothing, but the desires of the diligant are fully satisfied.

If you are hard working you will get what you need.  You'll feel good about yourself and when you really have hard work it will seem as if it's easy.  You can't just say, "I have a relationship with God" and not do anything about it!  Pray!  Prayer should be constant in your life.  If you score a point in a sport, Our Father.  If you mess up pray:
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

There's so much you can do for the Lord.  If you are lazy and don't show him your love you aren't going to feel his love.

Diligant hands will rule, but the lazy hands will slave.
Proverbs 12:24

Beatitudes

[To talk to other Christians please check out http://holyishisname.proboards75.com/index.cgi ]

Breaking Down the Beatitudes.

The Beatitudes are teaching of Christ. They help you live your life just like the 10 Commandments except these aren't as widely known.

Matthew 5:1-12

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

Be humble! Have confidence in God and not materials.

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."

No matter how you how alone you feel, how sad you get, or how angry you are God will always be with you.

"Blessed are the meek for they will inherit land."

The land is often refered to as "God's land" or heaven.

"Blessed are those who thirst and hunger for righteousness for they will be satisfied"

If you want to love God, or if you want everything to be good and with him.  It shall be done.

"Blessed are the merciful for they have been shown mercy."

If you truly want to be forgiven, and are really sorry, you will be forgiven.

"Blessed are the clean of heart for they shall see God"

Get rid of all your regrets and grudges.  Once you forgive and forget God will then take you into his palace.  This can also be interpreted as being forgiven or receiving reconcilliation in some religions.

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called Children of God."

Don't try to start fights or find a reason to be mad at someone.  Try and resolve it the best you can.  Also, you shouldn't use the slang terms like "Don't be an angel" or "You've been good a lot have a little fun." Those are all phrases that turn people from God.

"Blessed are those who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs' is the kingdom of heaven"

If you are mocked in any way for the Lord and you stick with him, then plan on having a spot in heaven.

(I decided everytime I get 40 eProps I will update. That way I know many people read it and got the message. So if you want an update sooner tell your friends to comment and check here often!)

Bible Study

I am going to write about some bible passages that will help you understand future entries.  First we will talk about 1 Thessalonians.  If you have time please scroll down and read past teachings.  They build each time.

 1 Thessalonians-

Divine Inspiration is a term that we use when we say God's grace given to writers, preachers, etc to say his word.  For instance, we believe that God has given the writers the strength to write his word.  Therefore, you can trust the bible.  The proof of divine inspiration is found in Thessalonians.  In Chapter 1:5 it says, "For our gospel did not come to you in word alone, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with much conviction."

This is not it but here, in Chapter 2:2 it states:

"...we drew courage through our God to speak to you the Gospel.."

Remember, this is only one little book in the bible.  It gives us so much though.

It also mentions the three theological virtues.  They are faith, hope, and love.  Faith is belief in God without any doubts.  Hope is the trust in the Lord that he will never fail you.  Love, we must love him for who he is not just what he's done for us.  (Read first entry to help you feel God's love.)

More chapters and verses about the virtues:

1:3, 3:6, 2:19, 3:10-13, 4:9-12, 5:8, 5:13

Thankfulness is also a big part of Thessalonians.  We need to thank God for everything.  Even the bad because then we can relize what is good.  Thank God for the dark, then it's easier to see the light.  Thank him for everything.  It took me an hour one day just to mention some of the things he gave me.  Take 15 minutes a day at least and thank him for it all.  It will make you a happier person.

Another part of the book is about Lust.  I think that you should read it for yourself because people have their own ways of defining this subject.  I may come past it later.

Chapter 4:3-8

Now take all this in slowly.  The more you read about God the more you understand.  The more you can love him.  Thank him for everything right now.  Praise him for he is Lord!

Gifts and Vocations - he_is_lord1@excite.com

Everyone has there own way of thinking or doing things.  Not everyone is skilled with drawing.  Others could be very good musicians.  Someone could be very athletic, or someone could enjoy writing poetry.  There are many good speakers in the world today.  It usually depends on what we enjoy doing or what we are good at.

God gave us all these wonderful gifts.  We should all be thankful for them.

You may not know what your gifts are.  Just search deep inside yourself and pray to God that he will help you discover them.  We should use our gifts to help us with our vocations.  Vocations are when we are called by God to do something important.  Our vocation can change as we grow.  We must pray and hope that we will open our eyes and realize what he wants us to do.

Now, a vocation can also be very small.  Something simple, for instance, holding the door open for someone as they walk by.  You will have a feeling like you should or need to do something.  I think it's God calling to us.  So if you get an urge to do something like saying ten different prayers before you go to bed do it!  You will grow closer with God each time you do.

He loves you all very much.  Praise him for he is Lord!

(Side Note:  Thank you all for your comments and subscribing!  Please feel free to email me to talk about your faith, or if you just want to talk.  It helps me keep in touch with my faith even if I can talk to other people. he_is_lord1@excite.com
Also, if you want an email everytime I update then please email me or leave a comment asking for me to do this.  That way you don't always have to check back.  It's a wonderful thing that all of you are helping me.  I thank God for your help and support.)
